As if there aren’t enough quadrupeds here at TB&B – meet the new darlings, brother and sister Oberian goats, Clarisse & Barnabas. I have long had a hankering for this species, and lo and behold, the perfect pair presented themselves. Bred and immaculately raised by Peter and Teri of Braided Bower Farm in Cheshire OR, they have quickly adapted to life in Central Oregon. They regard each new boarder with goatly curiosity, and provide me and my charges with endlessly amusing antics. FYI, no dogs including my own, are permitted inside their secure enclosure, and certainly not allowed any rude behaviors like fence-running. Although most dogs are fascinated, no one has shown aggression or frenzy. Maybe that’s because these two bomb-proof little caprines stare everyone down with at the most, a slight hackling of fur. Corgis, you now have major competition for Cutest…

Can’t wait to see what Alli does! She’ll want to play with them. They are adorable!
Oh my gosh!!! Are they really yours?!? They’re so cute!!! I don’t know the breed… milk? Meat? LOVE??? Now let’s get you some chickens!!! I loved my goat, “Lucy”! Certainly ‘Not A Dog’ Lucy would run up to the car to greet you… and ‘Head Butts’ takes on a whole different level than when playing with the cats! I can’t wait to meet them!!!
Patty how did you guess…chickens are next. Greg Burke is building me a strawbale goat ‘n’ chicken house combo soon. Researching tri-color chicken breeds…
How absolutely gorgeous. Spike and I are going to have to come up and meet these two. My daughter has goats also. Not as pretty but they are infinitely amusing. I will give you a call after we get back from Newport Beach and see when we can visit. Joyce
Joyce I would welcome you & Spike for a visit with open arms, corgi barks, and goatly burps! Have fun at NB.
